At Dance Connection, we firmly believe that dance lessons extend beyond the studio floor and teach valuable life lessons. Our goal is to not only develop exceptional dancers but also to use dance as a platform for instilling invaluable values that will benefit them throughout their lives. Through dance, we nurture qualities such as commitment, responsibility, respect for instructors and peers, time management, decision-making skills, adaptability, and preparedness for their commitments. These are just a few of the life lessons we instill in our dancers, recognizing the broader impact that dance can have on their personal growth.
Our competitive program offers more than just accelerated training. We focus on mentorship, building connections, and creating a community where dancers can navigate life's journey together. The Dance Connection Company consists of advanced dancers aged 5-18. These dedicated individuals commit themselves to 9-14 hours of training per week, encompassing various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, ballroom, and lyrical. Our company dancers follow a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum that provides intense and well-rounded training. Throughout the year, our company competes at various events, culminating in a national competition that showcases their talent and hard work.
We are proud to have achieved numerous national titles and the honor of being awarded "Honored Studio" three years in a row. Our commitment to excellence extends to providing our dancers with high-quality teachers and choreographers on a regular basis. These professionals enhance and expand our dancers' knowledge and training, ensuring they receive the best possible education and guidance in their dance journey.

DC SQUAD
WHAT IS DC SQUAD!
DC Squad is a Hip Hop performing team for ages 5 years to14 yrs for dancers that are interested in more performing opportunity's without the full commitment of a company level schedule. They perform locally 3-4 times per year as well as attend 2 local competitions. This is a great stepping stone for dancers that interested in a more serious path for dance or dancers that enjoy performing. It also gives you, as parents, a year to make sure your dancer understands the commitment required to be part of a team.
How many classes does my dancer need to take if they are on the Squad performing team? There is one mandatory class for Squad & then they are required to add an additional class in jazz, tap, ballet or hip hop.
What is Squad performing team's tuition per month? The Squad tuition is $160 per month. That includes the 2 classes per week, plus competition fees for 2 in state competitions. Any additional classes will be $50 per month per class
Can my dancer do Company and the Squad performing team? YES!! The schedule does work if your dancer is on a company team, it would just mean you would add an extra day (Friday) for the one Squad class.
How does my dancer join the Squad? We highly recommend your dancer attend one of our summer training camp programs in July so that they continue their dance training in the summer. We also require dancers to have at least one year of training in a hip hop class.
