DANCE CONNECTION COVID-19 POLICY STATEMENT
- Dance Connection will work collectively to provide consistent guidance to employees, dancers, siblings, and parents regarding the prevention of COVID-19 transmission in our studio
- As a situation arises, Dance Connection will work with the dancer and parents to ensure the safest course is undertaken to mitigate further occurrences
- Management will conduct an investigation if needed to assess potential exposure and risk to other dancers and employees
- This may include, but not limited to, identifying test date, alternative arrangements or needs, documentation requests, etc. to determine the best course of action
- Management, at any time, will have the right to question any dancer, sibling, parent, or guest regarding potential exposure risk presence of any symptoms including checking temperature
Masking & Social Distancing Policy
- All dancers, employees, parents, and guests will be required to wear a mask in the common areas of the building
- Masks requirements:
- Appropriate and professional in appearance
- Cover BOTH nose and mouth at all times
- Masks may be removed:
- While inside the studio room during dance practice
- While eating or drinking
- Social distancing should be practiced as best as possible
Participation Policy
- Dancer has COVID symptoms and have tested COVID-19 positive or have chosen not to be tested
- Return to the studio requires ALL three things have happened
- No fever for at least 72 hours without the use of medication that reduces fevers such as Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, or others
- Return to the studio requires ALL three things have happened
AND
- Symptoms such as cough, breathing difficulty, lethargy, weakness, and/or others have improved
AND
- At least 14 days have passed since symptoms first started
- Dancer has COVID-like symptoms and will be tested for COVID-19
- Return to the studio requires ALL three things have happened
- No fever for at least 72 hours without the use of medication that reduces fevers such as Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, or others
- Return to the studio requires ALL three things have happened
AND
- Symptoms such as cough, breathing difficulty, lethargy, weakness, and/or others have improved
AND
- COVID-19 test results as a negative test AND written clearance from a health care provider to return
- Dancer may have been exposed to COVID-19
- Management will ask questions to determine degree of exposure
- Exposure is defined as being in close contact within 6 feet for a 15 minutes or more
- Management will ask the following questions or more as necessary to determine degree of exposure
- Date of potential exposure
- Has any symptoms developed
- Who was the individual they came in close contact with
- What was the situation where they came in close contact with
- How long the exposure to the close contact was
- Will they undergo testing for COVID-19
- Based on this inquiry, Management may request the dancer to exit the studio until it can be determined any risk of potential spread has been mitigated
- If the dancer has a sibling in the studio, the sibling will also need to exit the studio
- Any dancer asked to exit the studio will need to follow the above process (Section I or II) prior to returning to the studio
- Dancers that may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or may have symptoms compatible with COVID-19, should consult their primary care provider or local health facility for further care
- The dancer and parents should contact any other person they came into close contact with to ensure appropriate measures can be taken by all involved
