As an award-winning, multi-genre choreographer and highly versatile performer, Aspen Waddell has challenged and transformed young dancers into true artists across the country for the past several years.
Aspen has a rare ability to inspire, encourage and mold dancers through choreography and instruction that energizes and releases natural abilities and confidence. For the past three years, she toured with NRG danceProject Dance Convention assisting and guest teaching in select cities across the U.S. You may also have seen her most recently performing with Gwen Stefani in the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as performing in the hit opening number of the Parade on NBC. She has also appeared as a performer in New York Fashion Week and as a lead dancer in a Neiman Marcus commercial.
As a young dancer herself, Aspen danced competitively for 12 years attending conventions and studying under high-profile instructors such as Mandy Moore, Ray Leeper, Mark Meismer, Justin Giles, and John Crutchman. After graduating high school she auditioned for the Dixie State Dance Team and was a member for two years while attending Dixie State University. While living in Utah, she also performed with a competitive ballroom team prior to graduating from college.
Most recently, Aspen completed the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center working closely with Brooke Wendle, Nick Kenkel, Luam, Richard J. Hinds, and Mike Esperanza. She currently is under contract with MSA Talent Agency, resides in Manhattan, New York, and enjoys guest teaching and choreographing nationally recognized, award-winning numbers for her Mom’s renowned studio, Dance Connection, Scottsdale.
